Bush, Darrell

Darrell Bush was raised on a farm near Moline, Illinois. He later returned to live in Moline. A graduate of Northern Illinois University in Dekalb he has a degree in fine art. In 1986, he moved to the Twin Cities where he worked as a graphic designer for Studio West in Minnetonka. There he mentored with successful wildlife painter Daniel Smith. 

In 1988, he designed an eight piece series for the Bradford Exchange and later won the Minnesota Pheasant Stamp contest. In 1992, he began doing prints for Hadley House, and this led to focus on nostalgia subject matter, now his trademark in his successful career.
